Dr. Roslyn Rosen
Dr. Roslyn "Roz" Rosen, Director of the National Center on Deafness at the California State University, Northridge, is a nationally and internationally renowned educational leader and advocate. Her career path has included: vocational rehabilitation counselor, secondary school supervising teacher, and university professor and administrator. Her 33-year career at Gallaudet University included the positions of MSSD teacher, director of the Kellogg Special Schools of the Future program and the Public Law 94-142 project, dean of the college for continuing education and vice president for academic affairs.
Dr. Rosen was a board member and president of the National Association of the Deaf, and served on the boards of the World Federation of the Deaf, the American Society for Deaf Children and the National Captioning Institute. She was an author of WFD policies on Education. In 2003, WFD honored her with a WFD International Cross award and lifetime honorary board membership.
After 33 years at Gallaudet University, she retired only to be "rewired" as the executive director of the Council on Education of the Deaf, international officer for the World Federation of the Deaf, and consultant for international affairs for the Communication Services for the Deaf. She also represented the WFD at the United Nations and UNESCO, working to advance equality and life quality for the global Deaf community.
Dr. Rosen is known for her publications and training in organizational management, leadership, education, human rights and women's issues. Dr. Rosen also proudly wears the multiple hats of wife, mother and grandmother.

Jon Levy
Jon Levy has worked with Deaf young people for over 30 years. After completing his B.A. degree from U.C.L.A. in Psychology, he continued on to California State University, Northridge for his master’s degree in Deaf Education. He is currently the Principal of the Orange County Regional Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program at University High School and Venado Middle School in Irvine, California. He has served as an administrator in this program, which serves over 170 secondary students grades 7-12 for over 18 years.
Jon has been appointed as a member of the NTID National Advisory Group and has served in this capacity for the last 3 years. Jon has been a Board member of IMPACT, California’s statewide D/HH Parent group for over 9 years. For the last 8 years, Jon has served as Chair of California Administrators of the Deaf and has worked on several California Department of Education workgroups and national task forces to promote the education of Deaf young people.

Dr. T. Alan Hurwitz
Dr. T. Alan Hurwitz is vice president of Rochester Institute of Technology and CEO and Dean of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, one of RIT’s eight colleges and the world’s largest technological college for deaf students. Dr. Hurwitz, who has been profoundly deaf since birth, has an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Teaching from the University of Rochester, a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from St. Louis University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. He also attended the Harvard Institute for Higher Education’s Management and Leadership in Education program. Dr. Hurwitz, a full professor, has worked at NTID for nearly four decades and has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in math, electronics, and computer science. He is the past president of the National Association of the Deaf and is a sought-after speaker on issues related to higher education accountability such as unit record analysis; employment and retention; student success; and support and access services.
