Convention of American Instructors of the Deaf
2013 CAID NATIONAL CONFERENCE Serving teachers of students who are deaf or hard of hearing for over 160 years...

The CAID National Conference will kick off at noon on June 26th, 2013. The schedule will include keynote speakers, round table discussions, poster sessions, and workshops relevant to teachers, educational interpreters, counselors, and other professionals who work with deaf and hard of hearing students.Pre-conference workshops will be offered by CAID on June 24th - June 25th for those who wish to earn professional credits.
The CAID Conference will be held at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) on the campus of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), in Rochester, New York.This will be an opportunity to visit the RIT/NTID campus.

Two dynamic keynote speakers are scheduled; Dr.Marc Marschark, and Dr. Todd Pagano. For more information about these speakers, click on "Keynote Speakers" in the left column.
Where would you stay? There are two options, you can stay at the Residence Halls at RIT or at a nearby hotel. Information about the Residence Halls/hotel will be posted, just click on "Hotel and Travel" on your left.
During one evening, you will have an opportunity to explore the city of Rochester. For those of you who are crazy about music, the JazzFest will be happening in the city of Rochester during that week.
For wine lovers, Western New York has a huge selection of winery tours.
In addition, Rochester is about 90 minutes from Niagara Falls for those of you who have a desire to see the beautiful Falls.
